Bermuda sits in the North Atlantic, not the Caribbean, so it’s mild rather than tropical all year. It does lie in the path of Atlantic hurricanes. Here’s how to choose your dates.

Seasons in brief

Getting the best fares

FlightsFrom lists November as the cheapest month on the Heathrow route (flightsfrom.com). Compare direct BA fares with fares connecting through the US on Aviasales (affiliate link). Our London to Bermuda flights guide explains the trade-offs.

Travelling in hurricane season

  1. Insure at the time you book. Most policies won’t cover a storm once it has been named. EKTA (affiliate link) is one insurer to compare. See travel insurance for Bermuda.
  2. Choose flexible fares and accommodation you can change.
  3. Avoid tight connections in the US during storm season.

For a house-hunting trip

If you’re moving, plan the trip around your work permit and start date rather than the weather. Rentals move quickly, so a trip a few weeks before your move is often more useful than one months earlier. See visiting Bermuda before you move and renting in Bermuda.
